The Itinerary

The Rimouski–Gaspé axis along Route 132 North is the backbone of the Gaspésie. You follow the river as it becomes the gulf, fishing villages follow one another and the Chic-Chocs mountains plunge ever closer to the sea.

Matane is famous for its shrimp and its ferry to the North Shore. Sainte-Anne-des-Monts is the gateway to Gaspésie National Park. Cap-Chat, with its majestic vertical ÉOLE wind turbine (tallest in the world), is a unique industrial curiosity. Gaspé, the end of the road, with Cartier's cross and Forillon National Park.
