The Itinerary

The Beauce, threaded by the Chaudière River, is a distinct region in Quebec: legendary entrepreneurial spirit, hearty cuisine (pea soup, cretons, Beauce doughnuts) and some of the province's most authentic sugar shack celebrations.

Saint-Georges, the Beauce's main city, is surrounded by rolling farmland. The Chaudière River's spring flood is an impressive annual spectacle. En route: Sainte-Marie, Scott and their farmers' markets.
