The Itinerary
Mont-Saint-Hilaire is one of the Montérégiennes, the igneous hills emerging from the agricultural plain southeast of Montreal. Mont-Saint-Hilaire Nature Centre is a UNESCO biosphere reserve — the only one in Quebec's agricultural zone.
The region is renowned for its orchardists and Domaine Les Brome vineyard (in Saint-Paul-d'Abbotsford). In autumn, the grape and apple orchards around the mountain offer sumptuous views of the Richelieu.
