The Itinerary

Chambly, 35 km from Montreal, is one of the most popular outings along the Richelieu River. Fort Chambly — one of the best-preserved French forts in North America — has dominated the river since 1711.

Chambly Canal (Parks Canada) is ideal for kayaking and cycling. Brasseurs du Monde microbrewery is a local institution. In summer, Chambly Basin is a popular swimming and sailing spot.
