The Itinerary

Saint-Eustache is famous for two things: its historic church riddled with cannonballs from the 1837 Patriot rebellion, and its orchards. In autumn, the apple farms around town are among the most accessible from Greater Montreal.

From Laval, crossing Lac des Deux-Montagnes by bridge or the Oka ferry offers a scenic detour. The Cistercian Abbey of Oka and its cheeses round out the escape.
