Regulations

A valid Quebec sport fishing licence is required everywhere in the region. ZECs (Petawaga, Normandie, Maison-de-Pierre, Mitchinamecus…) and réserves fauniques (Rouge-Matawin, Papineau-Labelle) charge daily access and camping fees and post their own harvest rules by lake. On free crown land, respect the 7-month camping limit at one site, fire bans and garbage-out rules. Check zone fishing and hunting seasons before heading out.
